THE CHALLENGE
Livingstone Brown have always had an innovative approach to their IT infrastructure so when the covid pandemic hit their existing VMWare cluster and RDS farm could facilitate their work from home requirements easily. However, as the infrastructure was aging, they decided to look at their IT infrastructure as a whole and decided to future proof their environment with some key areas being paramount.

As a law firm, protecting their staff and clients from continuously evolving threats was their number one focus.
Facilitate a work from anywhere policy
The covid pandemic taught Livingstone Brown they could effectively work from anywhere so wanted to make this as seamless, functional, secure, and as easy as possible going forward with a common working experience for all staff.
SOLUTION
To future proof their technology while optimizing performance, security, and improving productivity. Microsofts Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) in Azure and Microsoft 365 Business Premium was recommended to meet all business concerns and objectives.
We rolled out AVD as a centralised cloud desktop solution. All workloads were standardised and delivered as a fully managed desktop or published application depending on user function.
We rolled out Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses to all users. This allowed us to use our best practice security policies to lock down access to all data and the AVD environment through conditional access policies meeting all security policy and compliance requirements.
